Ericka Dove
Owner and Director of Dove Academy of Dance Arts. My philosophy for my studio is simple, everyone has the ability to dance and it is my job to give you the foundation and structure to do so. We strive to teach your children more than dance steps-they will learn grace,poise, and confidence
I grew up in Kansas City,Missouri where I danced under Dolly Arden and Monica Renwick. I traveled with Dance Olympus and I was a National Champion with Showstopper,Tremaine, and DanceAmerica.
Upon arriving in Texas I continued my training with Densil Adams and taught at Preston Center Dance for many years. I have done commericals and industrials as a dancer.
Choreography work that I have done outside the dance world includes Throughly Modern Millie for Plano Childrens Theatre, Suessical for Vines High School,and Crystal Charity Ball.
I have done choregraphy for Ice dancers,Freestyle skaters and Pairs teams and have traveled to USFSA nationals with these skaters.
As I start my 14th year, I look forward to getting the opportunity to teach your children.
Taylor Holbrook
Taylor Holbrook is starting her third year with DADA, moving from her hometown of Kansas City after graduating from the University of Missouri. Taylor began dancing at age four at Dancing Plus in Raymore, MO.She was trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip hop, and tumbling. Additionally, during her years with Dancing Plus, Taylor worked as an assistant, a teacher, and a choreographer, where she found a passion for sharing the love of dance with children.
Outside of the studio, Taylor was a four-year member and two-year captain of the Raymore Peculiar High School Prowlers Dance Team. Following her high school drill team experience, she was a member of the University of Missouri Golden Girls Spirit Squad for each of her four years. The Golden Girls performed at football and basketball events, as well as competed nationally against top schools in the country.
